Computational analysis in social networks

This research area applies computational models and computer science techniques to social, political and economic issues. Privileged object of analysis is the strategic change in large organizations, the political activities of companies and the relationship between companies, society and institutions. With reference to this theoretical field, two main lines of research are active. One line of research consists in the modeling and simulation of socio-economic systems with particular regard to the analysis of the sustainability of governance mechanisms and strategies of complex organizations. The second line of interest concerns the study of power structures and political activities in economic systems through the analysis of public discourse and the rhetoric of organizational and inter-organizational communication.
